Bee Pollen

| Bee pollen is the dust gathered by bees from the stamens of flowers. It is collected from the hive as small pellets, which contain all the known nutrients necessary for human survival. It is an excellent vegetarian source of protein and one of the few vegetable sources that contains the complete B-complex, including vitamin B12.
Considered to be one of the most nutritious foods available, Bee Pollen is approximately 35% vegetable protein and contains around 18 vitamins, 25 minerals, over 20 amino acids, around 60 trace elements and is loaded with enzymes, co-enzymes, essential fatty acids and slow releasing carbohydrates. It is extremely rich in B vitamins, vitamins C, D, E, Lecithin, cysteine and carotenes, which are metabolic precursors of vitamin A.
Many of the nutrients in bee pollen have been scientifically documented for their ability to strengthen immunity and counteract the effects of radiation and chemical toxins.
Bee pollen rejuvenates the skin, increases energy levels, alleviates impotence and menstrual symptoms and builds immunity to windborne allergens, which helps to control asthma and hay fever. It also has a soothing effect on the digestive system and helps the endocrine system by stimulating sluggish glands, which have been linked to premature aging and decreased immune response.
As a general health supplement take anything up to 1 tablespoon a day. For treating Hay fever, start with two or three grains per day and gradually begin upping the dose until you are taking between 1 - 3 teaspoons full per day. Bee pollen is rich in B vitamins which are often found to be lacking in allergy sufferers. Starting with low dosages of pollen lessens the likelihood of an allergic reaction. Can be nibbled on, sprinkled over cereals and salads or blended into fruit juice or smoothies
